Aberdeen Central can be found in a dozen different events among the Class AA track and field leaders heading into today’s state meet in Sioux Falls.
The Golden Eagles are leading three events. Kyson Fayant has the fastest time in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles, Mya Arampatzis has the best time in the 100-meter hurdles, and Taryn Hermansen has the best throw in the shot put.
Jaidyn Forsyth is second in the pole vault, Gracie Rife has the fifth best times in the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes, and Espynn Kuhfeld is fifth in the 300 hurdles.
Other Central boys’ among the statewide leaders include Joran Foss who is fourth in the shot put and sixth in the discus, Fayant who is eighth in the 110-meter high hurdles, and Carson Urlacher who is eighth in the 3,200-meter run.

The Golden Eagles also have the fifth-best time in the boys’ 1,600-meter relay. The individuals who comprise that squad are Eli Biegler, Fayant, Brendan Phillips, and Colby Dauwen.
