A trio of Northeast Conference athletes were able to record top-eight marks in this week’s Class A track and field leaders during last week’s NEC Meet, although technically the event was canceled.

Jakob Steen of Clark-Willow Lake had the seventh best distance in the javelin, while Milbank’s Max Scoular and Sisseton’s Carter Stickland turned in the seventh and eighth best heights, respectively, in the pole vault.

Deuel athletes continue to be among the Class A best in sprint events.

Oliver Fieber has the top times in the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes and is a member of the top 800-meter relay team. Teammate Gabe Sather has the second-best time in the 110-meter high hurdles.
