Clark-Willow Lake, Edmunds Central win Region 1B titles

WATERTOWN – Clark-Willow Lake cruised to the girls’ team championship, and the Cyclones and Edmunds Central finished in a tie atop the boys’ team points during the Region 1B Golf Tournament on Thursday.

Led by the top two finishers, Clark-Willow Lake won the girls’ team crown by 38 strokes over runner-up Faulkton.

Brynn Roehrich was the medalist with a 76, five strokes better than Faith Roehrich. Doland’s Olivia Knox was third.

CWL and Edmunds Central tied for the boys’ title just two strokes better than Webster.

The boys’ individual race was also close as Webster’s Blaize Amdahl grabbed medalist honors with a 76. Kaden Wookey of Clark-Willow and Harrison Beyers of Edmunds Central tied for second just two strokes back.
