Clark-Willow Lake edges Redfield in 11 innings

REDFIELD – Redfield scored four early runs before Clark-Willow Lake held the hosts scoreless for the final 10 innings en route to a 7-4 11-inning American Legion baseball victory on Thursday night.

Jakob Steen played a key role in the CWL win. Steen tied the game with a two-run single in the seventh, and then produced a two-run double in the 11th inning. He finished with three hits total.

Cooper Pommer came on in relief and posted nine strikeouts in five innings of work. The two teams combined for 32 strikeouts in all.

Elijah Morrissette, Kevin Weller, and Jacob Schmitt each had a pair of hits for Redfield.
