
WOLSEY – Second-rated Wolsey-Wessington used a 24-11 fourth-quarter surge to rally past Miller for a 52-49 non-conference girls’ basketball victory Tuesday night.
Leah Williams scored 10 points and Mya Boomsma had seven in the final period as the Warbirds erased a double-digit deficit to improve to 4-0 on the season.
Williams and Mallory Miller each finished with 17 points, and Boomsma contributed 14. Miller also grabbed eight rebounds and blocked seven shots.
Tyra Gates led all players with 18 points for Miller, which slipped to 3-1. Morgan Kolda followed with 10 and Ally Mullaney added eight.
