MITCHELL – Miller’s Pierce Baumberger won the boys’ race during the Mitchell Invitational cross country meet on Saturday.

Baumberger edged teammate Alex Schumacher by about six seconds. Northwestern’s Lincoln Woodring and Nathan Melius finished third and fourth, respectively.

Miller also had three other runners among the top 15 finishers as Tyson Kindle was 10th, Isaiah Gortmaker 11th and Kellan Hurd 14th.

Kinsey Evans led a strong delegation of Chamberlain runners in winning the girls’ race. The Cubs had the top four finishers in that event.
