As you can tell by reading this, I am back at it as a photographer and part-time writer.
With the help of my friend and owner of this website, Dave Vilhauer, I have made the leap to purchase some camera gear of my own in order to continue my journey as a photographer. I will be working for Dave on a contract basis as I have begun my own freelance business.
For the most part I will be covering sporting events, generally high school athletics for this site. I am hoping to expand my work to include any other assignments in the area that might come my way.
One thing is for certain, sorry I do not photograph weddings!
As for my writing, I will put my thoughts down from time to time but no guarantees at this point that it will be weekly like it was at my old job.
For the meantime I am anxious to get back to photographing area high school athletes and helping Dave to tell their stories. With the few events I have covered so far, I have been graciously welcomed back by the coaches, event staff and athletic directors here in Aberdeen. And I do appreciate that.
