NORTHVILLE – Warner-Ipswich-Northwestern erupted for 18 runs in the opening inning and rolled past Deuel 22-0 in high school baseball action on Sunday afternoon.

Lincoln Kroll started the scoring outburst with a two-run single. Brevyn Pitz, Mac Heinz, and Alec Mikkelsen also drove in a pair in the frame, and Braydon Kroll and Logan Fischbach each plated one. Four other runs came across on wild pitches.

Jacob Schmidt added a two-run double in the second inning, and Pitz drove in another run.

Chays Mansfield and Pitz each finished with three hits to lead W-I-N’s 16-hit attack. Lincoln Kroll, Brayden Kroll, and Heinz each contributed two hits.

SISSETON – Sisseton-Britton-Webster improved to 14-0 on the season with a doubleheader sweep over Redfield on Sunday afternoon.

S-B-W won the first game 8-2 and then rallied for a 10-7 victory in the nightcap.

S-B-W pulled away from a 2-1 lead with four runs in the fourth inning of the opener and tacked on two more runs in the sixth.

Dylan Redler, Will Richter, and Carter Stickland each had RBI doubles in the win.

Noah Johnson had three hits and drove in a run to lead Redfield.

Redfield scored three runs early in the second game, before S-B-W battled back and took control with six runs in the top of the sixth inning.

Jacksan Rude and Aiden Frankenstein each drove in runs for the Muskrats in the first inning.

Mitchell Burger plated one run in the second and two more in the third for the hosts. Ben Suther’s two-run double highlighted the six-run sixth.

LJ Crooks, Chaz Vietor, and Kaden Mills combined to strike out 10 batters for S-B-W.

Grady Hulscher had three hits to top Redfield.
