REDFIELD – The Clark Dinosaurs swept the Redfield Muskrats in completely different fashion during high school baseball on Sunday afternoon. Clark won the opener 10-0, and then picked up a walk-off victory 6-5 in the second contest.

The Dinosaurs scored in every inning of the first game, which was more than enough for Watson Grantham who fired a two-hitter while striking out 13.

Charlie Luvaas drove in a run in the first, Cooper Pommer and Caleb Drenth each drove in runs in the second, Teague Stevenson plated a run in the third, and Grantham knocked in a run in the fifth.

The Muskrats jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the nightcap. Noah Johnson had a two-out double to drive in one run. Clark tied the game at 3-3 after five innings.

Redfield jumped back in front in the top of the sixth as Chace Odland lead off with a double and came in to score on a single by Emmanuel Alejandaro. The Dinosaurs answered in the bottom of the sixth, setting the stage for a big finish.

The Muskrats scored in the top of the seventh on Aiden Frankenstein’s RBI double, before Clark scored twice in the bottom half of the inning for the walk-off win. Jax Tharaldsen singled in the winning run.

LENNOX – Groton dropped a pair of games, falling to Lennox 13-3 and to West Central 11-6.

The Tigers received RBI singles from TC Schuster, Jordan Schwan, and Braedon Fliehs in a three-run third inning against Lennox. However, that was all the runs Groton could produce.

Groton fell to a late rally against West Central. The Tigers jumped in front on a two-run single from Case Reints in the top of the first inning, before West Central scored five unanswered runs.

Groton tied the game at 5-5 with three runs in the top of the fifth when Schwan had a bases-loaded triple. However, West Central went on to score six late runs to secure the victory.
