Groton rallies for Amateur victory over Northville

GROTON – Groton Locke Electric overcame a four-run deficit to pick up a 12-5 win over the Northville Merchants in Amateur baseball action Sunday night.

Trailing 5-1, the hosts scored 11 unanswered runs, including four in the fourth inning and five in the sixth inning.

Brevin Fliehs had a two-run single in the fourth. Ty Sieber, who hit a solo homer in the fifth, had a two-run single in the sixth.

Sieber finished the contest with four hits and knocked in four runs. Fliehs, Bradin Althoff and Ben Althoff each had two hits for Groton.

Ryan Groeblinghoff struck out nine batters before Alex Morris came on in relief and fanned five.

Northville’s Ashton Remily had a pair of hits, including a grand slam home run in the fourth inning.
