Redfield moves to 5-1 after win over Sioux Valley

VOLGA – The Redfield Muskrats made the most of their opportunities to fuel an 11-0 win over Sioux Valley in high school baseball action Saturday afternoon.

Redfield, which improved to 5-1 on the season, had five hits, and took advantage of eight walks and six Sioux Valley errors en route to the five-inning victory.

Seth Siebrecht got the scoring started with a two-run double in the top of the first inning. Three other runs scored on a pair of errors and a passed ball.

Redfield tacked on two more runs in the second inning, both coming across on passed balls.

The Muskrats capped off the scoring with four runs in the third. Keaton Rohlfs plated the first run on a double, a pair of runs scored on back-to-back fielder choices, and the last run scored on an error.

Elliott Komraus also drove in two runs for Redfield and scored three times.

Siebrecht went the distance, striking out nine batters.

Redfield hosts Madison and Groton today.
