Clark-Willow Lake records one win, one tie in Belle Fourche

BELLE FOURCHE – Clark-Willow Lake blanked Belle Fourche 4-0 and finished in a 6-6 tie against Mount Vernon-Plankinton during an American Legion baseball tourney in Belle Fourche on Friday.

Jakob Steen struck out seven batters in going the distance in the shutout victory. He also drove in a pair of runs, one on a double and another on a sacrifice fly.

CWL had a pair of three-run innings against MVP. Bennett Pommer had an RBI single in a three-run first, while Max Bratland produced a two-run double and Cooper Pommer added a run-scoring single in a three-run fourth.

Cade Gaikowski had a pair of hits in that contest.
