CLEAR LAKE – Clark-Willow Lake exploded for 24 runs in just five innings on the way to a 24-3 American Legion baseball victory over Deuel on Monday night.

The visitors scored five times in the first, seven times in the fourth, and 10 times in the fifth.

Damion Severson had a bases-loaded triple in the fourth, and then drove in runs with a triple and a single in the fifth. Cade Gaikowski had a two-run single in the fifth.

Severson finished with three hits and knocked in six. Caleb Drenth also had three hits, and plated three runs.

WATERTOWN – Watertown plated 24 total runs in a sweep over Groton. The hosts won 13-3 and 11-1.

Alex Abeln and Carter Simon each had two hits for Groton in the first contest. Gavin Englund and Nick Groeblinghoff each drove in a run.

Groton managed just two hits in the second contest. Abeln and Braeden Fliehs each had a single.

CASTLEWOOD – Lake Norden-Badger scored seven unanswered runs to rally for a 7-4 win over Castlewood.

Teague Stevenson struck out 11 batters in the victory, and also had a double.

Kaden Nedved led Castlewood with two hits, and also struck out seven.
