Big inning fuels Clark to amateur win over Milbank

MILBANK – An eight-run fifth inning helped to propel the Clark Traders to a 16-9 Amateur baseball victory over the Milbank Firechiefs on Friday night.

Clark had 11 hits in the pivotal frame, including a two-run double by Cooper Pommer, and RBI singles by Damion Severson, Watson Grantham, Jason Steen, Bryce DesLauriers, and Brent Griffith. Severson also drove in a run with a bases-loaded walk.

Pommer, Griffith, and Braedon Zaug each had three hits for the Traders. Grantham and Severson each knocked in three.

Hudson Feller struck out nine batters, and Zach Toben added seven more in relief.

Brady Krause had a game-high four hits for Milbank. Isaac Schulte had a pair of hits and drove in three.
