CLARK – Clark-Willow Lake scored in every inning but one in a pair of American Legion baseball victories over Garretson on Thursday. CWL won games by scores of 9-0 and 7-2.

The hosts had eight consecutive hits in five-run first inning, including run-producing hits by Charlie Luvaas, Ky Vandersnick, Jakob Steen, Caleb Drenth, and Max Bratland.

Drenth had a three-run home run to power a fourth-run second inning.

Clark-Willow Lake put up five runs in the fourth inning of the other contest.

Vandersnick, Bennett Pommer, Cooper Pommer, and Luvaas each drove in runs in that frame.

Sisseton 15-2, Castlewood 0-0

SISSETON – Sisseton did not give up a run in a 15-0, 2-0 sweep over Castlewood.

The hosts scored all 15 runs in the first inning thanks to seven walks, six hit batters, and five hits.

LJ Cooks tossed a one-hitter in the other game.

Again, Sisseton did all of its scoring in the first frame. Max Dahlen doubled in a run, and came in on a Rylin Anderson single.
