GROTON – Groton picked up a pair of one-run victories over Sisseton in American Legion baseball on Tuesday night. The Tigers had a walk-off win 8-7, and collected a 1-0 victory in the other contest.

Groton overcame a 7-1 deficit with a six-run fifth inning. Jarrett Erdman had a bases-loaded triple, and Lincoln Krause had a two-run double to highlight the frame.

The hosts then recorded the walk-off victory when Jordan Schwan hit a one-out double to plate Karsten Fliehs.

Schwan had four hits in the victory.

Carter Simon hit a solo home run in the fifth inning for the only scoring in the other game.

Gavin Englund tossed a one-hitter for Groton, while Rylan Anderson struck out 13 batters for Sisseton.

Milbank 10, Lake Norden-Badger 0

MILBANK – A quartet of Milbank pitchers combined to no-hit Lake Norden-Badger 10-0.

Aiden Kelly, Tyler Heinje, Zach Karges and Mack Koplin combined for 13 strikeouts.

Heinje had a two-run single in the second inning and an RBI double in the fifth to help power the Milbank offense.
