Sisseton-Britton-Webster scores late to sweep Groton

SISSETON – A pair of late runs allowed Sisseton-Britton-Webster to sweep a high school baseball doubleheader over Groton Wednesday night.

After losing a 5-1 lead in the opener, Sisseton-Britton-Webster scored a 7-6 walk-off win with a run in the bottom of the seventh inning when the winning run scored on an error.

Sisseton-Britton-Webster then broke a tie game with a run in the top of the seventh in the second contest for a 3-2 victory. Levi Nelson drove in the game-winner with a two out RBI single.

Ben Suther struck out 13 batters for S-B-W in the opener.

TC Schuster had three hits for Groton, including a two-run single in a four-run top of the seventh.

Gavin Englund fanned 12 batters for Groton in the nightcap.
