GROTON – The Redfield Muskrats built a five-run lead and then held off a pair of Groton Tigers rallies to secure a 5-4 high school baseball win on Sunday.

Redfield scored a pair of runs in the top of the first inning thanks to five walks.

The Muskrats then added a run in the top of the fourth and two more in the top of the fifth, all coming in on errors.

Groton scored four times in the bottom of the fifth to slice the deficit to a single run.

Jordan Schwan drove in one with a double, before Jarrett Erdmann delivered a two-run double.

The Tigers then loaded the bases with one out in the bottom of the seventh before Redfield recorded a strikeout and a ground out to finish off the victory.

Aiden Frankenstein had two hits, including a triple, to lead the Muskrats, and Hunter Binger scored twice.
