REDFIELD – Redfield scored a pair of first-inning runs and made it hold up in a 3-1 victory over Lake Norden-Badger in American Legion baseball Monday evening.

Micah Zastrow walked, moved into scoring position on Noah Johnson’s single and scored on a wild pitch. Johnson then scored on a single by Jacksan Rude.

The hosts added another run in the bottom of the fourth frame, when Johnson was hit by a pitch, stole second, and scored on another Rude single.

Lake Norden-Badger got on the board in the seventh when Turner Stevenson singled and scored on a double by Caleb Drenth. However, Redfield recorded the last two outs on a ground out and strikout to end the threat.

Redfield’s Hunter Binger tossed six innings of scoreless baseball, striking out six batters in the process.

Rude had two hits for Redfield, while Rylan Thue matched the total for Lake Norden-Badger.
