REDFIELD – Camden Osborn hit a lead-off home run to signal things to come for Redfield Dairy Queen in a 18-6 Amateur baseball win over the Northville Merchants Sunday.

DQ exploded for 18 runs over the first four innings of the victory.

Keaton Rohlfs added a two-run single in the first inning, Bennett Osborn delivered a bases-loaded triple and Noah Hainy had a two-run home run in the seven-run second inning, and Peyton Osborn hit a two-run homer in a five-run fourth frame.

Rohlfs and Camden Osborn each finished with four hits for Redfield, which accumulated 18 hits in all. Bennett Osborn and Hainy both drove in four runs.

Ashton Remily topped Northville with three hits, while Greg Heyne added two.

Milbank Firechiefs 4, Elkton 2

MILBANK – Dom Boerger scattered seven hits and struck out 20 batters in a complete-game pitching performance to lead the Milbank Firechiefs to a 4-2 win over Elkton in Amateur baseball.

Merik Junker had a two-run double and Brady Krause drove in another run with a single to stake Milbank to a 3-0 lead in the first inning.

Dylan Gillispie broke up Boerger’s shutout in the top of the eighth with a two-run home run.
