REDFIELD – Groton set the tone early with five runs and picked up an 11-1 win over Redfield in Legion baseball action Friday night.

Brevin Fliehs had a two-run triple and Nick Groeblinghoff had a two-run single to highlight the top of the first.

Groeblinghoff added another RBI hit in the third, before Groton finished off the five-inning win with two runs in the fourth and three in the fifth.

Lincoln Krause stole home and Carter Simon had a sac-fly in the fourth. A pair of runs came in via a bases-loaded walk and hit batter in the fifth.

Redfield’s lone run came in the third on Hunter Binger’s RBI single.
