MADISON – Aberdeen Roncalli won the team championship at the Madison Invitational Golf Tournament on Thursday with Lucas Daggett earning medalist honors.
The Cavaliers finished with a team total of 331 win to win the tourney by 14 strokes.
“The team came out an battled on a tough course with some tough conditions and ultimately got the job done,” said Roncalli coach Chazz Vigil.
Daggett shot a round of 77 to edge Chase McQuirk of Chamberlain by a single stroke.
Roncalli’s Finn Anderson finished 10th with an 83, and Matthew Darling was 14th with an 85.
Other Cavaliers included Matthew Gerlach who was 20th with an 86, Owen Vogel who was 49th with a 94, and Parker Serr who was 63rd with a 100.
Roncalli, which just capped a stretch of three tournaments in four days, is off until Monday when it competes in the Dell Rapids Invitational.
