HARTFORD – Aberdeen Roncalli finished in a tie for third place in the team standings at the West Central Invitational golf tournament on Tuesday.
The Cavaliers had a team score of 305. Dakota Valley won the team title by a single stroke over Vermillion. Roncalli and West Central tied for third just three strokes off the pace.
“Today was a solid day where the guys battled throughout their rounds,” said Roncalli coach Chazz Vigil. “There were some ups and downs, but overall they kept it together and put up some good scores.”
Roncalli was led by a seventh-place finish from Finn Anderson who fired a 74. Lucas Daggett also shot a 74 and took ninth.
Other Cavaliers included Matthew Gerlach who was 28th and with a 78, Owen Vogel who was 33rd with a 79, Matthew Darling who was 45th with an 82, and Parker Serr who was 92nd with a 97.
Roncalli continues its busy week of golf with a third tournament in four days when it plays at Madison on Thursday.
