DELL RAPIDS – Aberdeen Roncalli’s Harper Schnabel shot a 67 to win the individual championship at the Dell Rapids Invitational Golf Tournament on Monday.
The junior, golfing in his first tourney with the Cavaliers this fall, won the event by three strokes.
“Harper came out and played a very impressive round on a windy day,” said Roncalli coach Chazz Vigil. “It was good to see him come in and do what we know he can do.”
Vermillion won the team title with a 303. Roncalli finished third in team points with a 314.
The Cavaliers had two others golfers among the top 20. Finn Anderson finished 18th with a 78, and Lucas Daggett was 20th with a 79.
Roncalli competes in the Northeast Conference Tournament at Olive Grove Golf Course in Groton today.
