NORTHVILLE – Groton Locke Electric scored in every inning but one on the way to an 18-6 win over the Northville Merchants in District 2B Amateur baseball on Sunday.

Groton broke the game open with nine runs in the fourth inning, three of them coming in on a bases-loaded triple from Alex Morris. Brevin Fliehs and Brian Hansen each drove in two runs in the frame, while Jonah Schmit and Palmer Boyd each drove in one.

There were four home runs in the contest, two for each team. Ashton Remily and Kyle Stahl homered for Northville, while Bradin Althoff and Ty Sieber left the park for Groton.

Boyd finished with four hits to lead Groton’s 16-hit attack. Morris drove in four runs, and Hansen plated three.

Remily powered Northville with three hits, drove in two runs, and scored twice.

Groton will now take on Redfield Dairy Queen on Tuesday in the postseason.
