GROTON – Aberdeen Circus Sports Bar built a lead with a six-run fifth inning, and then tacked on four more runs in the seventh inning to halt a Groton Locke Electric rally in a 13-4 Amateur baseball win Monday night.

Wolf’Don Thorson had an RBI triple to start the fifth-inning uprising, Kris Kwak drove in a run with a double, Kelly Coates added a two-run double, and two runs scored on bases-loaded walks.

Groton closed the gap with four runs in the sixth, three scoring on a bases-loaded double by Ben Althoff.

Circus regained control with four runs of its own in the seventh. Jesse Babcock drove in a pair with a double, and two more runs came across on walks. Aberdeen added two runs in the ninth on RBI hits from Casey Vining and Joran Foss.

Kwak, Coates, and Babcock each had two hits for Circus. Babcock drove in three runs, while Kwak, Vining, and Coates each plated a pair.
