Redfield walks past Volga in Legion victory

REDFIELD – Redfield racked up 12 hits and took advantage of 17 walks on the way to a 15-7 win over Volga in American Legion baseball Wednesday night.

Redfield broke a 6-6 tie with five runs in the fifth inning, and after Volga scored a run in the top of the sixth, the hosts added four more runs in the bottom of the frame.

Aiden Frankenstein and Zach Bonin each drove in three runs for Redfield.

Noah Johnson, Jett Kleinsasser, Frankenstein, and Chace Odland had two hits apiece in the victory. Six different Redfield players drew at least two walks during the contest.
