RAPID CITY – Aberdeen’s Olivia Braun won the girls’ title at the South Dakota Golf Association’s Junior 16-18 Championships at the Golf Club at Red Rock on Wednesday.
The recent graduate of Aberdeen Central shot a final round 70 to win the championship by four strokes. Braun finished with a 54-hole total of 221. Brynn Roehrich who competes for Clark-Willow Lake, finished fifth with a three-day score of 231.
Harper Schnabel of Aberdeen finished 10th in the boys’ division. He concluded with a 54-hole score of 224. Gavin Olson of Onida finished 14th with a score of 227.
The boys’ championship came down to a 10-hole playoff eventually won by Asher Dannenbring of Mitchell. Dannenbring, Carter Peterson of Sioux Falls, and Rylan Moran of Vermillion all finished with scores of 219.
