Roehrich in second, Braun fourth, Schnabel fifth at SDGA event

RAPID CITY – Area golfers continue to be in the hunt for titles following the second day of the South Dakota Golf Association’s Junior 16-18 Championships at the Golf Club at Red Rock on Tuesday.

Watertown’s Brynn Roehrich, who competes for Clark-Willow Lake, is one stroke off the lead in the girls’ division with a two-day total of 148. Aberdeen’s Olivia Braun is in fourth with a 36-hole total of 151. Kaitlin Strain of Rapid City in on top of the leaderboard with a two-round score of 147.

Aberdeen’s Harper Schnabel is in fifth place heading into today’s final round. Schnabel is just three strokes off the pace with a 148.

Charlie Swift of Harrisburg, who shot a 70 during the second round, and Carter Petersen of Sioux Falls are tied for first in the boys’ division with identical totals of 145.
