DELL RAPIDS – A pair of area golfers finished in the top 10 individually, and Aberdeen Roncalli took fourth in team points during the Dell Rapids Invitational Golf Tournament on Tuesday.
Sioux Falls Christian won the team title with a 331. Roncalli finished with a team total of 362.
Sisseton’s Kenzley Heath was eighth with an 85. Roncalli’s Claire Crawford was 10th with an 86.
Other golfers in the top 25 included Ava Danielson of Roncalli who was 20th with an 89, and Elliot Hortness of Sisseton who was 25th with an 89.
Roncalli’s Mackenzie Wegehaupt was 25th with a 93, followed teammate Morgan Helms in 26th with a 94.
“Happy for Morgan and Ava,” said Roncalli coach Jon Murdy. “Had good rounds today with not so good of weather. Cold and windy again.”
Roncalli will host its own invitational on Thursday at Lee Park Golf Course.
“Once we get everyone playing well, it is going to be a lot of fun to watch,” Murdy said.
