Hettick earns medalist, helps Edmunds Central to team title

WATERTOWN – Seth Hettick of Edmunds Central won the individual championship to help lead the Raiders to the boys’ team title during the Great Plains Lutheran Invitational Golf Tournament at Cattail Crossing on Tuesday.

Hettick fired a round of 73 to edge Larz Tevdt of Wolsey-Wessington by one stroke in the boys’ division.

Edmunds Central had a team total of 227, nine strokes better than runner-up Clark-Willow Lake.

Brynn Roehrich of Clark-Willow Lake fired a round of 69 to win the girls’ individual title. Sage Gaikowski of Waubay-Summit finished second with an 83.

Clark-Willow Lake won the girls’ team crown by 61 strokes over the rest of the field with a score of 248.
