FAULKTON – Redfield allowed just one run and six total hits on the way to a sweep over Faulkton in American Legion baseball action Tuesday night. Redfield, 5-1 on the season, won the opener 12-0 and took the nightcap 10-1.
Redfield used a seven-run third inning to break open the first game. Keaton Rohlfs, Nolan Gall, Elliott Komraus and Eli Morrisette each drove in one run, before Camden Osborn delivered a two-run single in the frame.
Komraus and Kellan Hurd each had two hits in the victory, while Osborn, Gall and Morrissette each drove in a pair.
Meanwhile, Seth Siebrecht allowed just one hit in four innings of work.
Faulkton’s Layne Cotton drove in a run with a first-inning double in the second game, but it was all Redfield after that.
Redfield scored three runs in the second as Morrissette had a two-run single, added four more runs in the third as Rohlfs drove in a pair, and Komraus and Kevin Weller each added RBI hits, and then tacked on three more runs in the fifth inning, two coming in on a double by Gall.
Rohlfs and Gall each had two hits for Redfield, while Rohlfs, Gall, Weller and Morrissette each knocked in two. Cotton had a pair of hits for Faulkton.
