MILLER – The Miller boys and Potter County girls continued their strong seasons by winning their respective team championships at the Miller Invitational Cross Country Meet on Monday.

Miller, which had the top two runners, won the boys’ team title with 9 points. Northwestern was second.

Pierce Baumberger of Miller won the individual race with teammate Alex Schumacher second.

Aberdeen Christian was led by Walker Larson who finished 13th.

Potter County won the girls’ team crown by nine points over Kimball-White Lake.

Heidi Olson of Mobridge-Pollock won the girls’ race with Danika Kaup of Potter County second.

Aberdeen Christian was led by Rachel Beaner who finished 15th.

“It was a rough day, very hot. I think that got to us a bit,” said Knights coach Noah Aderhold. “The kids struggled through, but it wasn’t our best showing.”

The Knights will compete in the Lake Region Conference Meet on Wednesday, Oct. 6 in Ipswich.
