Aberdeen Central’s Paige Ewalt moved up to third in the discus in this week’s Class AA track and field leaders. Ewalt had a throw of 119-4 at last weekend’s Watoma Relays.
The Golden Eagles continue to lead a pair of events.
Taryn Hermansen improved her state-leading mark in the shot put at the the Watoma Relays with a throw of 48-11, second best all-time in the state.
Kyson Fayant improved his state-leading time in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles at the Watoma Relays with a clocking of :38.53, which ranks among the top 10 all-time.
Other Central boys among the leaders are Jack Bertsch who is second in the discus, Brenner Waldrop who is fifth in the javelin and eighth in the discus, Fayant who is sixth in the 400-meter dash and seventh in the 110-meter high hurdles, the 800-meter relay team which is fifth, and the 400-meter relay team which is sixth.

Other Central girls among the leaders are Mya Arampatzis who is second in the 100 hurdles, Espynn Kuhfeld who is seventh in the 300 hurdles, Regan Lust who is seventh in the high jump, the 800-meter relay team which is seventh, the 400-meter relay team which is eighth, and the medley relay which is eighth.
