Class AA Track and Field Leaders

A pair of Aberdeen Central athletes top Class AA events in this week’s track and field leaders.

Kyson Fayant, fresh off his school record time of :38.62 set on Tuesday, tops the 300-meter intermediate hurdles. He is also sixth in the 400-meter dash.

Taryn Hermansen leads the pack in the shot put. She recently broke her own school record with a throw of 46-8 ½.

There are also two other Golden Eagles who are currently second among the leaders.

Jack Bertsch has the second best throw in the discus (157-4), and Mya Arampatzis has the second fastest time in the 100-meter hurdles (:14.98).

Brenner Waldrop is fifth in the javelin and seventh in the discus.

Other Central athletes among the state-wide leaders include Paige Ewalt who is fifth in the discus, Regan Lust who is sixth in the high jump, Espynn Kuhfeld who is seventh in the 300 hurdles, and Breckan Santjer who is eighth in the pole vault.
