Golden Eagles in tight pack at Yankton tourney

YANKTON – Aberdeen Central’s six golfers all played within eight strokes of each other during the Yankton Invitational on Friday.

Sioux Falls Lincoln won the team title with a total of 302. Aberdeen Central was 15th with a score of 368.

Lincoln’s Quinton Hollan was the medalist with a 71.

The Golden Eagles were led by Brady Heilman and Cole Brust, who tied for 63rd with identical rounds of 90. Other Central golfers included Brody Kludt who tied for 76th with a 93, Eli Schauer who tied for 85th with a 95, Ridgly Wasem who tied for 89th with a 96, and Maddox Dinger who was 93rd with a 98.

Central will compete at the Bill Scholten Invitational on Monday in Brookings.
