Central golfers 16th at Mitchell Invitational

MITCHELL – Aberdeen Central finished 16th in a field of 21 teams during the Mitchell Invitational Golf Tournament on Friday.

The Golden Eagles compiled a team total of 326.

Sioux Falls Lincoln won the team championship with a score of 289. Brandon Valley was second with a 296.

Lincoln’s Braxton Hollan was the medalist with as 69. Teammate Brody Herrmann was runner-up with a 70, and Mitchell’s Asher Dannenbring was third also with a 70.

Central was led by Maddox Dinger who finished 48th with 79, leading a tight group of Golden Eagles. Cole Brust was 57th one stroke back at 80, and Brady Heilman was 64th, one stroke back at 81.

Other Central golfers included Ridgly Wasem who has 96th with an 86, Ben Golz who was 98th also with an 86, and Eli Schauer who was 111th with a 90.

The Golden Eagles compete in the Watertown Invitational on Tuesday.
