Class AA Track and Field Leaders

Aberdeen Central’s Jack Bertsch is the new leader in the discus in this week’s Class AA track and field leaders. The senior unleashed a throw of 164-feet, 7-inches at the Al Sahli Invitational last weekend.

Several other Golden Eagles moved up the leader board following the meet as well.

Mya Arampatzis moved up to second in the 100-meter hurdles and Catelynn Weig is now fourth in that event. Taryn Hermansen moved into eighth in the discus, Breckan Santjer is eighth in the pole vault, and Carter Lust is eight in the 100-meter dash, all with performances at the Sahli Invitational.

Kyson Fayant continues to have the top time in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles and is eighth in the 100 hurdles and 400-meter dash, and the Central boys are eighth in the 400-meter relay.

In the girls’ division, Hermansen continues to lead the shot put, Paige Ewalt is fourth in the discus, and Regan Lust is sixth in the high jump.
