Class A Track and Field Leaders

A pair of Northeast Conference track and field athletes moved into top spots in this week’s Class A track and field leaders.

Milbank’s Bryton Blauert soared to the top of the pole vault with a mark of 13-feet, 4-inches. Deuel’s Oliver Fieber recorded the fastest time in the 100-meter dash this past week with a clocking of :10.51.

In the girls’ division, Bentley Bauer of Mobridge-Pollock moved into second in the long jump with a leap of 17-feet, 10-inches.

Fieber continues to lead the 200-meter dash, while Sam Rick of Milbank continues to lead the triple jump.

Other area boys among the leaders include Groton’s Keegen Tracy who is second in the 400, third in the 100 and seventh in the 200, Rick who is second in the pole vault and third in the long jump, Webster’s Matthew Mount who is second in the javelin, third in the shot put and fifth in the discus, Milbank’s Harley Zemlicka who is third in the 300 hurdles and sixth in the 110 hurdles, Kellen Pfitzer of Mobridge-Pollock who is fourth in the shot put and discus, Lucas Johnson of Groton Plains Lutheran who is fourth in the high jump, Miller’s Isaak Hunter who is fifth in the 110 hurdles and sixth in the 300 hurdles, Michael Severson who is sixth in the shot put, Lawson Novy of Milbank who is sixth in the discus and seventh in the shot put, Trayton Stambach of Mobridge-Pollock who is sixth in the triple jump, Jakob Steen of Clark-Willow Lake who is sixth in the javelin followed by Hamlin’s Tate Everson in eighth, and Milbank’s Max Scoular who is eighth in the pole vault.

Area boys relays in the leaders are Deuel which is first in the 800-meter, and Groton which is seventh in the medley.

Other area girls among the leaders include Eliza Larson of Clark-Willow Lake who is third in the shot put followed by Milbank’s Anna Neugebauer in eighth, Abigail Lee of Britton-Hecla who is third in the triple jump, Deuel’s Hannah Cutshaw who is fourth in the pole vault followed by teammate Lauryn Peterreins in fifth, Milbank’s Jacy Dexter in sixth and Webster’s Kenley Grewe in eighth, Groton’s McKenna Tietz who is fifth in the 300 hurdles followed by Jayda Thompson of Mobridge-Pollock in seventh, Bauer who is sixth in the 100 and eighth in the 200, Cadence Bochek of Clark-Willow Lake who is sixth in the 400, Kamryn Nesheim of Clark-Willow Lake who is sixth in the 1,600, and Abby Kjenstad of Great Plains Lutheran who is seventh in the long jump.

Area girls relays in the leaders are Clark-Willow Lake which is third in the 1,600, fifth in the medley, and eighth in the 800, Groton which is fourth in the 800, and Milbank which is fifth in the 1,600 followed by Mobridge-Pollock in seventh.
