Central athletes win field events at Bob Judson Invitational

PIERRE – Five different Aberdeen Central athletes won field events during the Bob Judson Invitational track and field meet on Monday.

Winning field events for the partial Golden Eagles squads were Brenner Waldrop in the shot put (49-0), Gabe Sumner in the pole vault (12-9), Taryn Hermansen in the shot put (44-11 1/2), Ashlyn Behrends in the discus (112-9), and Breckan Santjer in the pole vault (9-9), edging teammate Jaidyn Forsyth on jumps.

Central’s Kyson Fayant won both the 200-meter dash (:23.08), and 400-meter dash (:50.17), and finished second in the 110-meter high hurdles (:15.97).

Hoven’s Dannika Kaup won the 100-meter and 300-meter hurdles. Highmore-Harrold’s Autumn Fallis topped the field in the 3,200-meter run.
