Area athletes grab top spots at Brace-Hopfinger Relays

VOLGA – Castlewood’s Brody Bass won the javelin and finished second in the 110-meter high hurdles during the Brace-Hopfinger Relays track and field meet on Tuesday.

Lucas Johnson of Great Plains Lutheran won the high jump, while Hamlin’s Tate Everson was second in both the shot put and discus.

On the girls’ side, Kayla Goens of Castlewood won the javelin, while GPL’s Keturah Schleusener topped the field in the 100-meter dash.
