GROTON – Groton improved to 13-5 on the season with a 51-28 non-conference girls’ basketball win over Great Plains Lutheran on Monday night.

Taryn Traphagen topped the Tigers with 15 points. Jaedyn Penning followed with nine. Rylee Dunker led the team with 10 rebounds and six assists.

Katherine Prahl tossed in 12 points, and Julia Prahl added 10 for GPL.

GREAT PLAINS LUTHERAN (7-10): Katherine Prahl 5 2-5 12, Emily Moritz 2 0-1 6, Julia Prahl 4 2-2 10. Totals 11 4-8 28.

GROTON (13-5): Jerica Locke 1 1-2 4, Jaeydn Penning 3 2-5 9, Rylee Dunker 2 1-2 5, Taryn Traphagen 5 2-2 15, McKenna Tietz 2 1-1 6, Kella Tracy 1 0-0 2, Talli Wright 4 0-0 8, Sidney Locke 1 0-4 2. Totals 19-58 7-16 51.
