SIOUX FALLS – Northern State dominated the fourth quarter to pick up a non-conference women’s college basketball win over Sioux Falls Monday night

The Wolves broke a 51-51 tie to start the final period with 13 unanswered points, on the way to a 26-7 fourth quarter in a 77-58 victory.

Izzy Moore scored seven points in the 13-0 run, while Carli Kuyper added four points and Lily Klein had a basket.

While the Cougars finally broke through with 5:46 remaining, the Wolves continued to pour it on eventually finishing with a 19-point victory. NSU led by nine points early in the game and by 10 on another occasion. However, USF erased those leads, but they could not do anything about Northern’s fourth-quarter surge.

Moore led the Wolves with 24 points and 12 rebounds. Kuyper followed with 16 points, Klein finished with 13, and Taylor Tool added 11.

Northern, 8-6 overall and 3-5 in the NSIC, has road games at Wayne State on Friday, and at Augustana on Saturday.
