Wings fall to Lone Star Brahmas at Showcase

BLAINE, Minn. – The Aberdeen Wings dropped a 5-1 decision to the Lone Star Brahmas during the NAHL Showcase hockey event on Thursday afternoon.

After a scoreless first period, Lone Star scored a pair of goals before the Wings got one back on a goal by Jaxson Murray, his second on the young season.

However, it was all Lone Star after that as the Brahmas scored three unanswered goals in the final period, two coming within 14 seconds of each other.

Aberdeen outshot the Brahmas 32-20, but was able to get just one shot past the Lone Star goalie.

The Wings, 1-1, face the Johnstown Tomahawks at 7:15 tonight in the third round of the four-day event.
