HURON – Wolsey-Wessington pulled away from a six-point halftime lead and captured the 281 Conference Tournament girls’ basketball championship with a 56-38 win over Wessington Springs Thursday night.
Mallory Miller had 25 points and eight rebounds to lead the Warbirds, who improved to 8-1 on the season. Leah Williams added 15 points and three steals, and Mya Boomsma contributed 12 points.
Wessington Springs received 14 points from Avery Orth, and 13 from Kristie Munsen.
