PIERRE – Parkston claimed two of the top three individual places on the way to winning the team championship during the Region 3A Golf Tournament at Hillsview Golf Course in Pierre on Monday.
The Trojans edged runner-up Winner by a single stroke. Winner had four golfers among the top eight place-winners.
Dakota Munger of Chamberlain was the medalist with a 73, followed by Payton Koehn of Parkston with a 74.
Sean Moser of Mobridge-Pollock was 10th with a 91.
Redfield was led by Mitchell Mack in 11th. Jaxen Campbell was 17th and Kevin Weller was 18th.
The Class A State Golf Tournament takes place next Monday and Tuesday at the Madison Golf and Country Club.
