BISMARCK, N.D – The Aberdeen Wings briefly lost their lead for seven seconds before scoring what turned out to be the game-winning goal in a 3-2 win over Bismarck during NAHL Hockey on Saturday night.

The Bobcats tied the game at 2-2 on a power-play goal with 7:54 left in the third period, and Aberdeen’s Brody Dustin buried one in the back of the net just seven seconds later on a short-handed goal to put the Wings ahead to stay.

The hosts scored first in the second period, before Aberdeen produced back-to-back goals to take the lead. Noah Keyes tied the game on an assist from Finn Safir, and Broden Hontvet put the Wings in front later in the second period.

That set the stage for the two sides trading goals in the third period for the final margin of difference.

Bismarck outshot Aberdeen 25-20. Willum Braun recorded 22 saves in goal for the Wings.

Aberdeen continues to play on the road with a two games at Austin next weekend.
