BURNSVILLE, Minn. – The NCAA has released the updated NPI rankings for women’s soccer today, with the Northern State University Wolves moving up one spot to No. 7 in the NCAA Central Region following the completion of the regular season. Northern holds a 10-4-3 record this season and national NPI ranking of 69. The Wolves will open the first round of the conference tournament this evening, hosting Concordia-St. Paul, who sits 12th in the region, at 5 p.m. from the Athletic & Recreation Fields.
The NCAA Volleyball NPI rankings have been released, with the Northern State University Wolves moving up two spots to No. 9 in the Central Region. Northern holds a 19-7 record overall after their 3-0 week and NPI mark of 60.371. The primary purpose of NPI is to compare teams within Division II for ranking and NCAA championship selection. Once automatic qualifiers are determined, remaining teams are considered for at-large selection based on NPI ranking until the championship field is filled.
