SPEARFISH – Aberdeen Central bounced back from a first-set loss to snag a 3-1 non-conference volleyball victory over Spearfish Friday night on the road.

Central fell behind early and lost the opening stanza by a 25-22 count, but rallied to win the final three 25-18, 25-19 and 25-12.

Central coach Jackie Bindenagel said her team had a “good, balanced attack” in the win.

That attack started with Kamdyn Borge’s 12 kills. Lauryn Burckhard added 10, followed by Kendyl Fischer with eight and Karlie Nieman with five.

Camryn Albrecht finished with 20 assists and Alivia Miller added another 14 as the duo paced the Golden Eagles through their game plan at the net.

The win marks the fourth straight for the Golden Eagles following their season-opening loss. Central will take on Sturgis at 1 (MDT) this afternoon to wrap up its trip West River. The Golden Eagles are home for two matches next week.
