IPSWICH – Aberdeen Christian won its fifth match in the past four days in a Lake Region Conference sweep over Ipswich Tuesday night.

The Knights improved to 19-9 on the season with a 25-13, 25-13, 25-14 win over the Tigers, who had won six of their previous seven matches.

“We played really hard tonight against a good Ipswich team,” said Christian coach Sally Stoebner.

The victory was highlighted by the 1,000th career kill by junior Arianna Johnson.

The Knights racked up a dozen ace serves to help fuel the triumph, led by Payton Skarin with five.

“We were able to get things done from the service line with 12 aces and once again Ari led us at the net with two solo blocks and 16 kills,” Stoebner said. “She reached her 1,000th kill milestone and we are all so incredibly proud of her.”

The Knights will conclude their regular season with a match at Ellendale, N.D. on Friday night.
